The internet has been took over by jackals harvesting you information. Not a week goes by that someone has added me to their auto responder. Usually after I just received notification from my numerous ad sites that I just had a visitor.
I always verify with my hit counter if they actually visited my web site and what their actions were.

Since I can’t compete with all the internet gurus. With the big lists of previous customers and high search engine placements. If you don’t get in the top 100, forget about it..
Anyway when I do show up high in search engines most of the time I get people calling, or emailing their endless promotions for some other program or service.

Watch out!

People feed off us because we invest in our business.

Getting so bad out there now fighting off the sharks and gurus. I seldom read my emails and let the answer machine answer my calls.

Facebook, twitter and utube are crazy now everybody selling some guru program to make you a instant success using these services as well. If you had the secret would you sell it????? Maybe after it ran it’s coarse and the completion is fierce

Great if you have a following and aren’t a novice.
Use to get a email or call or 2 everyday when I promoted on the internet. The call went exactly like this:: Seen your web site on the internet looks interesting I just have a few questions call me at your earliest convenience. Then it was a pre recorded message:: If I can show you a way BLAH BLAH BLAH or some sharpie answers live and does the reverse market pitch. Are you open to a secondary income streams. Or a search engine optimization service. Maybe a software for harvesting phone numbers and emails off peoples web sites on the internet.

I just don’t care to play in these arenas and do the, my deals better then your deal game.

So what do I do.

One way to promote your business that guarantees results.

I pick up the phone and call people who filled out a form and requested information.
If they are hostile, negative or give me hard time. I just apologize for bothering them and call the next person on my list.
I don’t take it personal.
Simple.
I just give them my information and let them make the next move.
I focus on the critical few and not the insignificant many.
The people I like to call have filled out a internet form with.

Their Name
Their physical address
Their email
Their phone number
Their Reason for looking for a home business
Plus much more.

Armed with this info makes approaching a stranger much easier. Because if they do give you a hard time. You use all this data as a shield sort of. Example: Well I apologize for bothering  you. If it wasn’t you then you need to know that someone perhaps on you behalf knows you email address is >>> and your address is>>>> and that you want to make money from home to have >>>>> I’d be happy to remove you from my data base. Would you like me to remove you or do you think you may just forgot that you did request information last>>>>>> Then end the call or move on to the next step.

We all know what an excellent instrument the Internet can be.

Forget the Superstars. Catch a rising star.

If your looking for a home business or MLM network marketing opportunity. Forget signing up with the big money GURU superstars. You’ll never get them on the phone or get them to do presentations for your prospects unless you can put GAUREENTED massive prospects in front of them. They aren’t going to giveaway their secrets to a stranger.
Just makes sense, these people don’t have time for you. They have their leaders and family to work with. Unless your bringing in a large group with you.
My first experience with a big money leader years ago started with this line. My upline made over $250,000 his first full year in X tea tree oil company. You can see his company checks and use them as proof or a tool for your prospects.  What they forgot to tell me was this is his 7th or 8th company he’s a trained salesman all his life and most his income comes from one person he signed up his first month 22 months ago. I worked with these people about 3 years never made more then a couple of hundred a month. Worked the business part time 5 days a week and signed up all my friends and relatives on autoship with  fast start kits.  End of the month he would give a call to see who I had sitting on the fence. We then would call them. Sharp one’s he’d want their phone and email so he could follow up with them on my behalf. (Hmm) Never signed up one for me.
Another superstar guru I like, worked at a flap jack, griddle cake, pancake house found MLM made a fortune when MLM was young, quit, got a training duplication system going. Did the speaking, training, motivation thing.  Came back in to MLM makes like a million a month. Built it totally offline he says, by joining 6 or 9 soft ball teams. Here’s the thing he pulls up to the field in a brand new Dodge Viper. Most people know they cost about $80,000 to buy a average one and the insurance is more then most peoples house payment.
So naturally jocks are just going to gravitate towards a person with a Dodge Viper. Hey NICE car man, how much? Both teams are going to gather around those cars and be your friend.  How can you afford that? In my MLM business and I‘ll show you how!!!! Guess what, it’s pretty much a lay down. Try the same thing in rusty old Buick and you make $50 a month, your lucky if they just laugh in your face, when you say I’m in a MLM program and don’t kick you off the team. You say MLM in my neck of the woods and watch people run.
The reason I say forget the superstars and look for a rising star is simple. It makes it ten times easier if you have someone to work with, trust and can have fun with doing your business.
Believe me I did political phone fund raising for two years. You need back up when you run into the crazies who pour out their venom and try to destroy peoples self esteem. Make them feel good at your expense. Some narrow minded types, base peoples value or worth on income and titles. Viperman won’t  be there for you. He’s probably doing cruise ship training for the company.

We already discussed some of downfalls of a job or working for the man.

Let’s look at some possible options.

Your own business.
First off from personal experience I know that’s a lot of work and stress. Depending on the business, you have to select a location, manufacture a product or perform a service, hire employees, create sales, worry about payroll, taxes, insurance, business expenses, legal and moral issues and so on.

Network Marketing or MLM
I’ve also been in a few. No matter what the gurus say it’s sales. Not that that’s bad. But most distributors sugar coat it, hype it or lie. Most all companies have expensive autoship programs, that the average person can’t afford for long. Products are usually over priced and you have to be on autoship to receive a check, if you do make a sale. Comp plans are not that great for your sales because 5 or 10 people above you get a cut. Plus you may have to wait weeks to months to get paid.

Many rags to riches stories, but also more rags to poor house stories to.

Direct Sales.
My favorite. Took me 50 years to figure this out, almost every time we open our mouth is sales related, convincing, state a opinion, making deals, threats.  Sales is part of our daily lives and most every occupation.
It’s one of the highest paid professions in the world. No degree required. If you get good at sales you never have to worry much about a job. Good sales people are the last to get laid off or terminated.
You can work for a main stream company or for yourself.

Working for yourself is most everyone’s dream or goal, at one time or another.
Or being able to do something you love that produces a livable income to support your family. And providing security and fulfilling all your promises you made over time, to your loved ones.
But with jobs now. Security only exists at the highest levels.
Imagine you worked for your company loyally 10, 20, 30 years. Then they fire, lay off or downsize you. Do you have a option in your city to replace that income and benefits. (another JOB) Or are you going to have to take a big pay cut and take orders from some pizza faced kid. Maybe you made the cut and get to keep your job. But your boss didn’t and their replacement hates your guts. And their looking to make a name for themselves by getting more work out of you. Looking for anyway to terminate you so their friend or relative can get your job.
I talk to hundreds of people by phone every week that lost their jobs. And most follow the same story line.
Starting a traditional business can be massive nightmare as well.
But there is a simple solution.
